Congratulations to SRNA for a successful AGM and conference

Congratulations to  SRNA for a successful AGM and conference.  Please see the attached SRNA resolutions, which were passed at the AGM.  Also please note instructions sent by the SRNA Executive Director Karen Eisler RN (personal communication, 2012):

Resolutions are not binding to Council.

  • Council will be reviewing the resolutions at their June meeting and they can:
  1. 1.change wording – not intent,
  2. 2.decide to act on a resolution as Council,
  3. 3. decide to have no action and,
  4. 4. delegate action to operations.
  • The resolutions and next steps are posted in the fall news bulletin.

Therefore while we have made valuable gain related to SRNA resolutions, we must remember that SRNA council can veto these resolutions.  Please contact your SRNA council member at large to encourage SRNA to continue this valuable work which broaden the scope of the NP practice and improve health care access to the people of Saskatchewan.
