Announcing the Heather Keith Award

The Saskatchewan Association of Nurse Practitioners (SANP) in partnership with the SRNA special interest group Nurse Practitioners of Saskatchewan (NPOS) is very excited to announce the Heather Keith Award.  This award will be given to an RN(NP) who has demonstrated excellence in leadership in nursing and commitment to the community through volunteer work.

Throughout her career, she has innovated change that has promoted the health and safety of the community members she cared for.  Heather has influenced the development of the NP role by participating in many SRNA committees such as the Legislation and Bylaws committee and was the first NP voted in on the SRNA council as a member at large.  In 2001, Heather established NPOS which united NPs in their goal to advance the NP role.  She remains active in NPOS as chair and is currently employed at the University of Saskatchewan.

We invite you use attached award guidelines below to nominate a well deserving RN(NP) to receive the Heather Keith Award.  Please submit your nomination by March 1, 2011.  The award will be given to the worthy recipient on May 13, 2011 in Saskatoon.
